![]() ![]() So I believe the PS4 shouldn't cross the $400 after the taxes in order to make it more reasonable. I knew it was still one of the most desirable devices back then, but it was still too damn expensive for it. Back when the PS3 came out, the price was like $600 or $700 after taxes. The web browser for the PS3 and PSP was pretty crappy to say the least, or to me it was.ħ) Reasonable price. I gotten my PS3 from someone I knew after she brought it over from Hong Kong and the region thing was in place, preventing me from playing the PS2 games I had.Ħ) Better internet experience. I know that graphics aren't everything, but since many of the consumers wants improved graphics nowadays for their games, I believe that's one of the obvious things to do.ĥ) Console that's capable of reading CD's and DVD's from all regions. Xtreme Cheats Volume 02, Datel Design and Development, PlayStation 2, Compact Disc, 2001. ![]() Granted, more and more PS2 games are being released for HD's either at Gamestops or PSN, but there's just something about playing the old versions that brings back the nostalgic feelings more efficiently.Ĥ) Every single games being able to be upscaled up to a full 1080i or 1080p HD. Item, Manufacturer, Platform, Format, Date. I always felt that was a big disadvantages of owning a PS3 because it continuously makes me feel like I need a bigger hard drive unless if I wanted to delete something.ģ) Allow the playbacks of PS2 discs. Some PS3 games doesn't necessarily requires that much but many does though. I always felt one of the biggest fail that the PS3 had was that many of the games requires you to install it and it always takes up quite a lot of space, often times between 1.5GB to 5GB or so is required to install the games. It's a shame really because I could already come with a few moments when that function was needed.Ģ) Minimize the Installation and huge files it requires. Making the PS3 do that isn't exactly easy because Sony never officially design it to allow that. I would love to see some of these features being implemented into the PS4 console:ġ) I always liked the PS1 & PS2's memory card save features because it can allow you to copy your save files onto it and easily use it on another PS2 console. Also, gamers owning early PlayStation 2s may find that the software does not work with their machine.Lets face it, PS4 will probably be released before this decade is over and I think it's pretty reasonable to believe that Sony will probably announce SOMETHING about it sometime between this year till 2015. It's best to use a new one as when it's formatted it will erase any saved game data. Older versions of this product included a "key" which fit into one of the memory card slots, but because Datel discovered there was a potential for piracy, with this version you just get the disc and have to provide your own dedicated and formatted memory card. The device even allows you to play the increased security coded disks (Regional Coding Enhancement) which manage to foil most chipped DVD players. You then remove the disk and insert your DVD (using your controller and PS2 browser to select the film) and you'll have multi-region playback from your humble games machine.Ī side issue is that the disk also solves the "green screen" problem caused by Sony's modifying the RGB signal to better accommodate video games-which typically results in DVDs having a rather sickly tint. ![]() The pack is basically a software disc which you insert into your machine it displays a menu on your screen with all the regions (1 to 6) and lets you choose which zone the film you want to play belongs to. If you want to take better advantage of the PS2's DVD capabilities then the DVD Region X is a great device that allows you to "convert" your console into a multi-region player. ![]()
